FT Business of Luxury Summit

This weekend I’m heading to Monte Carlo to attend the The Financial Times’ Business of Luxury Summit, and I am looking forward to what will be a first class event.  The Summit, now in its fifth year, is an opportunity for senior luxury executives, business leaders and financiers from around the world to meet and share their perspectives on luxury today.

There’s an impressive line-up of speakers and panelists.  I’m eager to hear key-note speaker Bernard Arnault, Chairman & CEO, LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton.  I’m a big fan of Vanessa Friedman, Fashion Editor of the Financial Times, so I’m thrilled that she will be the moderator for several discussions.  She’s such a clever and insightful writer.  All in all, over 350 luxury executives will be attending from 26 countries.

The Summit agenda also includes some fabulous evening events.  There will be a welcoming ceremony with the Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco at the Hôtel de Paris, and on Monday night, John Ridding, the CEO of the FT, will host a black tie gala reception and dinner at the Sporting Monte CarloPrince Albert II of Monaco will be the guest of honor.  Afterward,  Monocle will host a party.

I love the south of France and I’m sure I’m going to meet some interesting people!  I’ll be updating the blog with Summit reports, and I’ll be twittering, of course, @Susan_Tabak.
