I am flattered to have been named the number one fashion twitterer by The London Times Online!  The article by Corinne Abrams lists the industry’s top 20 Twitterers — a combination of their choices and those recommended by their own followers.  Also included on the list are some of my favorite sites like The Moment, The Sartorialist, Women’s Wear Daily and Vogue Paris.  Talk about being in good company!  Click here to see all the Top 20 Fashion Twitterers.

Viktor & Rolf Design for the Opera

Paris-based designers Viktor & Rolf have created costumes for a production of Carl Maria von Weber’s romantic opera Der Freischütz (The Free-Shooter).   The show will open the 2009 Whitsun Festival on May 30 at the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Germany, and it is considered the season’s hottest ticket.

Bergdorf Goodman’s Bottega Veneta Windows

Last week I mentioned Bergdorf Goodman’s tribute to Italian luxury label Bottega Veneta. Bergdorf has dedicated its Fifth Avenue windows to the clothing, shoes, jewelry, home collection and (of course) handbags of Bottega Veneta.  I had a meeting near there so I stopped by for a look.  While the displays are not as spectacular as their holiday windows, they do capture the understated beauty and chic sophistication of this remarkable brand.

Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault’s Venice Wedding

After tying the knot in Paris on Valentine’s Day earlier this year, Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault exchanged vows again in Venice this weekend.  While their civil ceremony at Paris’s City Hall was unexpected and rather low-key, their celebration in Venice was a chic affair.

Christiane Celle and the Clic Bookstores

Christiane Celle, founder of Calypso clothing and home fashion boutiques, has added to her retail resumé with Clic, a gem of a photography bookstore on Lafayette Street in New York.  The boutique features a curated selection of rare, autographed and special and limited-edition books from international publishers.  Celle’s husband is photographer Antoine Verglas and she has long been an avid collector, so it seems natural that her latest venture would fuse fashion, books and photography.
