Roberto Cavalli and Susan
Much like last month during New York Fashion Week, there was a star-studded store opening for a famous Italian designer amid the prêt-à-porter shows. This time, however, the celebration was for Roberto Cavalli and not Armani. Mr. Cavalli just opened a new gilded five-story flagship store on rue Saint-Honoré. With magnificent chandeliers, champagne flowing and the city’s most fashionable people in attendance, this party stood out among even the most fabulous events so far. It was molto Italiano! Some might say over-the-top, but that’s Cavalli.
The bags, belts, jewelry and clothing collections looked right at home in such sweeping grandeur, although it wasn’t really the time to browse in a packed crowd that included Inès de la Fressange, Inés Sastre, Jade Jagger, Milla Jovovich, Adriana Lima, Kanye West, Diane Kruger, Emma de Caunes, Clothilde Courau, Emmanuelle Seigner, Louise Bourgoin, Roxane Mesquida, Maria Buccellati, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Renzo Rosso, Marta Marzotto, Teresa Missoni, Marisa Berenson, Rachel Zoe, Anna Dello Russo, Patsy Kensit, Miss France and so many others.

Hey mom-
in attempts to read your blog on a less sporadic basis i have found that you are often doing interesting things. Roberto Cavalli? that’s impressive. While we’re on that picture you seem to be wearing a coat i have never seen before. Any comments? also im still quite curious about this balmain jacket… when will that appear?
